What your hairstylist wants you to know before your appointment

We’re here to give you the best experience, from the moment you book your appointment, to the moment you walk out of our salon after your hair appointment. We want you to have an amazing and unforgettable appointment, so we’re sharing our best stylist-approved tips of what you should know before you come to Clique Organic Salons.

Here are 3 things your hairstylist wants you to know before your appointment:

Come in with hair inspiration, but don’t be afraid to ask our opinion

This may be the number one salon rule, but if you have an idea in mind of what you want your hair to look like, it really helps to see inspiration pictures. However, don’t feel like we can’t discuss your vision and come up with the perfect colour & style together. We want to really understand what you want, but we also have professional industry knowledge of how some hair trends would work with your hair type. A hair appointment is best when it’s collaborative, so come prepared with your inspo, and we’ll happily share our professional opinion!

It’s important to stay still for your hair appointment

Your best hair is achieved when you don’t wiggle around in your chair during your appointment. We really focus on ensuring that we’re cutting and styling your hair evenly, and we make sure that any colour or lightener that’s applied is being applied precisely and intentionally. When you don’t stay still during your hair appointment, it becomes extra difficult to work precisely to achieve the look you’ll love. So before you come in for your appointment, be prepared to sit still for the duration. And if you need a break or need to adjust your position? Just give us a heads up and we’ll happily take a step back!

We want you to love your hair, but we also want you to be realistic

Sometimes you may have an idea of a certain cut or style that you think you’d love to try. And while we’re huge supporters of doing what you love and experimenting with your hair, we know from experience that some things just may not work, or will take longer than expected to achieve. If you have very dark hair naturally and want to go platinum blonde, then you need to understand the realistic timeline of that drastic of a change, and whether you want to put your hair through that damage. You also need to be realistic about how much work you want to be putting into your hair. If you don’t want to spend the first hour of your day styling your hair, but you want a style that requires a lot of maintenance to look a certain way, then you need to take a step back and reevaluate. We’re always here to advise, and while we want you to love your hair, we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed.

Your best hair experience comes from a good relationship with your hairstylist. After all, we’re here for you and your hair, and we’ll spend hours together achieving the hair of your dreams. So we hope that you can pay attention to these tips so that your next hair appointment is unforgettable and amazing, just as we want it to be! Book your appointment with Clique here.
